To PLAN Ahead, Lisamarie is responsible
for assisting Linda Nelson in tasks that lead up to the event and following
up on attendance and reporting. She communicates with program managers, attendees,
hotel sales and service staff, and others involved in the meeting planning
process daily. She enjoys this work as she is using the customer
service skills that she believes makes every part of a job and the
customer's experience so much better. Prior to joining To PLAN Ahead, Lisamarie was an Assistant Manager at Christopher and Banks women's clothing store. She was a supervisor of store responsibilities including sales and accounting of daily figures, but what she loved most and was given praise for most was customer service. She received an award from the corporate office in her first two months of service for excellent customer feedback. While working full-time, Lisamarie continued to work as a part-time small business owner in art and music. She is responsible for sales, marketing, customer contacts, follow-up calls, database, expenditure and sales records, cashiering, and banking. Her areas of art are painting on fabric, song-writing, and poetry. Lisamarie has had much excitement in life with children and parties as she was a leader at Tumbling Tykes, a fun motor skills play group and venue for birthday parties. Other planning experiences include organizing the Harvest Festival in her hometown, which kept her busy with vendors, floor and grounds plans as well as rain plans, entertainment, invoices from vendors and tight communication with the committee. She is currently in the beginning stages of organizing an upcoming craft venue which will include crafters, other vendors and, hopefully, sponsors. Prior to starting her own business, Lisamarie worked as a Caseworker in the education/social service field. She has a degree in Sociology from the University at Albany (1989) along with a degree in Social Sciences and Business from Western Carolina University (1985).
